‘Hypertextural’ explores the intersection of art & technology; pushing the boundaries of traditional photography by employing dynamic, projection-mapped images to create abstract works of sculptural art, using recycled materials destined for landfill.

Birthed in Bangkok, Thailand, the project represents a meditative practice of discovering beauty & vibrancy in the light, colour, grime & decay of overlooked or forgotten spaces.

Utilising both traditional & new media, the installation considers socio-economic & technological divides and contrasts the old-world & modernity. The project reflects on the rapid commercialisation of urban spaces; lamenting the loss of authenticity & individuality to the rise of shiny new developments & commercial interests.

‘Hypertextural’ invites the experiencer to contemplate the evolving landscape of our urban spaces & the intrinsic value of preserving their raw, unfiltered essence.
